If your kid loves aviation, AeroCamp is for them

AeroCamp Basic is designed to give young people a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation and aerospace. Run by The Flying School at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland, CO, AeroCamp is an exciting way to learn more about flight.

Campers will have several ground school sessions, including dynamics of flight and the basics of flight planning. They will also have the opportunity to fly twice (weather permitting) in one of our aircraft with a licensed instructor! The camp is comprised of a STEM-based curriculum and will consist of several presentations from professionals in various aspects of aviation.

Camp Dates: May 22 - May 26 / June 26 - June 30, 2023

Some topics to be covered are:

  • Basic aviation and flight theory
  • Airplane controls and instrumentation
  • What is a pre-flight inspection?
  • Airport traffic patterns and radio calls
  • Basic aeronautical chart usage

Space is limited to eight students, so make sure to reserve your spot early on. The cost is $785 per student and will include a T-shirt, approximately 1.5 hours of flight time (weather permitting) and log book. Students must be entering 8th grade in the fall.
